404-GEN is a decentralized 3D model generation platform that aims to democratize 3D content creation. The project, which is integrated with Unity, allows developers and creators to generate 3D models from text prompts directly on the Bittensor mainnet. This innovative approach simplifies the creation process, making it accessible to a broader audience beyond professional 3D artists. The platform utilizes Gaussian Splats technology to generate high-quality 3D models with realistic details and textures. The native token of the 404 Gen ecosystem is the SN17, also referred to as the 404 gen token.

The 404-GEN ecosystem operates on a decentralized network of miners who compete to generate the best 3D models based on user requests. When a user submits a request, it is sent to the network of miners, and an algorithm selects the optimal model from the generated outputs. The unselected high-quality models are then contributed to an open-source dataset, which can be used by other creators. This competitive process ensures a continuous supply of high-quality 3D assets for various applications, including games, and AR/VR/XR experiences.
